With the rollout of so many different AI tools, in all digital platforms lately, it’s important to decide how AI fits into your marketing strategy. Where does it make sense to incorporate AI in your medspa marketing, if at all? Are medical weight loss practices and medspas making a huge mistake using Artificial Intelligence?
I recently broke this down in a video on my YouTube channel, where I share practical ads tutorials and marketing strategies for medspas and medical weight loss practices who want sustainable, high-ticket growth.
To me, the answer to this question is clear: AI-generated ads, AI avatars, and overly automated AI marketing, can actually damage trust in aesthetic medicine. This is extremely detrimental to your practice because trust is your #1 revenue driver in aesthetics.
Now, first let me just say, I am not anti-AI. I use tools like ChatGPT every day in my personal life, and of course, in my business for efficiency.
However, there’s a huge difference between relying on ChatGPT to draft an email for your newsletter, or coming up with funny short-form video ideas using Google Docs Gemini, versus creating an ad with fake, or highly edited, people in it.
AI Can Erode The Credibility In Your Medspa Marketing
When it comes to injecting faces, prescribing GLP-1s, running medical weight loss programs, and selling high-ticket aesthetic treatments, credibility is everything.
If your patients can’t tell what’s real and what’s artificially-generated through doctored results in transformation photos and testimonials, you risk undermining your authority and clinical expertise.
In aesthetics, even a small crack in trust can cost you thousands of dollars, and hundreds of patients, who choose to go to the medspa down the road – the one that’s actually working hard to show up in their ads to build that trust.
This video is a must-watch if you’re a medspa owner, nurse practitioner, injector, medical weight loss provider or ads manager – especially before you implement AI into your medspa marketing strategy or go all in with an ads agency encouraging you to use AI.
The biggest takeaway: trust equals revenue in aesthetics medicine. Though it might take a little longer, and require more effort, let’s build authority the right way!
