It’s relatable, authentic and it’s social proof in action. No pushy sales tactics – just honest excitement and the real reason for someone’s glowy skin, slim-down, plump lips or hair regrowth.
When a brand says “Trust us, this works!” you’re probably thinking, “They’re just trying to get my money, of course they’re going to say it works.” It’s like going to a party and having the host talk about themselves all night. You’re going to tune out and think they’re full of it.
However, when a real person – someone who looks, sounds or seems like you – says “Hey! This works for me and here’s my experience…” you’ll lean in and listen.
Here’s another way to understand why user-generated content is so powerful: think about when you’re heading to a restaurant. You can look at the restaurant’s website all day, but you’re probably going to check the Google reviews before you make your final decision to go there. Those real stories, pictures and honest feedback carry way more weight than fancy website photos.
When a potential client sees someone like them sharing their glow-up, they’re more likely to believe, “Hey, maybe this could work for me too!”
